Drinking and Driving

It’s not ok to get behind the wheel after you have been drinking. No matter if you are by yourself, or accompanied by others. There is always a better idea, a better way to get where needed. Driving drunk not only can harm yourself but others that are on the roadways during the time of motor vehicle operation. On average, a drunk driver will drive 80 times under the influence before their first arrest (Centers for Disease Control, 2011). What a terrible statistic but it shows how often this act of drunk driving occurs.

Although the numbers are decreasing, no person on the roadways are safe when it comes to drunk drivers around them. Every 51 minutes in America, someone is killed in a drunk driving crash.
